Finnish architect Pekka Wesamaa designed the full 18-hole layout in phases, with holes 1 through 9 opening in 2006 and the back nine, including the 10th, completed in July 2007 alongside our clubhouse. From the outset, Wesamaa’s vision was to let the natural character of the Otep\u00e4\u00e4 Nature Park shape the course rather than impose a rigid design onto the landscape.<\/p>\n

The 10th hole stretches an impressive 682 metres from the white tees<\/strong> and 602 metres from the yellow tees<\/strong>. Those distances alone explain why this is a PAR6. Even a golfer hitting long, consistent drives will need three full shots to reach the green in regulation, making club selection, course management, and mental composure critical at every stage of the hole. Wesamaa used the natural undulation of the Nature Park terrain to introduce elevation changes and directional shifts that prevent the hole from ever feeling like a simple straight-line march to the flag.<\/p>\n

The construction phase required careful environmental consideration given the protected status of the Otep\u00e4\u00e4 Nature Park.
