The Lightning Evacuation Plan is mandatory reading for every golfer.

LIGHTNING EVACUATION DURING COMPETITION

For competitions, lightning evacuation will proceed according to the scheme and instructions below.

NON-COMPETITION LIGHTNING EVACUATION

If it is a daily round of play, not a competition, and a thunderstorm occurs, it is every player’s duty to take shelter and stop play immediately. On a normal playing day, if it IS NOT A COMPETITION, no siren will be sounded. When a thunderstorm occurs, it is every player’s duty to act independently.

Play may only resume when lightning is no longer present.

NB! Playing golf during a thunderstorm is life-threatening.
